I am looking for a BM skimmer for my 90g and 120g. My bioload is medium on both tanks. Which do you guys suggest? Nac7 to small?

Are they tied together or two separate systems?

If they are tied together then I would look into the BM 180CS which is above a couple posts. It uses an Aquabee 2000/1 I believe.

If they are 2 separate systems then a NAC6 for the 90g and the NAC7 for the 120g. Even the NAC6C would work for both systems. It uses the Atmann 3000 instead of the Atamnn 2500.

So a NAC7 for both would get the job done?? I just want enough skimmer and not worry about getting another down the road if my bioload changes. The 90g will soon be a heavy SPS tank. Nac7 gonna handle that?

A NAC7 should handle a 90g no problem. I believe it is listed to handle upwards of a 250g tank. So if that rating is high then you are totally covered.

Yea the system are separate. Actually the 90g is mine and the 120g is my dads. I guess I will be ordering two nac7

Those will be a good choice. Whoever you get them through, ask if they have some pinwheel impellers they can send you. The meshwheels are great but can be hit and miss.

Just my advice.

Counter sunk holes are holes that are tapered. Lets say you want a 1/4" counter sunk hole. The opening would only be 1/4" but there would be ~1/2" crater around the hole. This helps channel the bubbles to the hole and out the plate. Also prevents large bubbles from form on the flat area of the plate.

thanks for the info. where can I buy the bubble plate having the countersink holes?

Anyone have the BM Mini that comes with the Cadlights 50g tank? How well does it perform and is it enough skimmer for a 50g tank? Would the NAC6 be too much skimmer for a tank this size that's moderately stocked? What would you guys suggest?

Anybody with a NAC6 wanna give me an EXACT footprint? I ordered one and it's coming on Tuesday and I just got my 30 gallon for my sump. I'm getting baffles cut today and I guess I might start gluing them in. I want to make sure I give plenty of room for the skimmer.

The tank is 36 inches long so I have plenty of room. I'm gonna end up with about a 15 inch fuge, which will hold 10 gallons of water.

When I measured it was something like 10 x 7.5. If you built the skimmer section 12 x 9 you would be just fine.
