Yes, I was also curious as to what you're doing/will do with meds. I'm sure you'll treat with cupramine or something similar. If so, do you pull the live rock, or test constantly and re-dose for what the LR absorbs?
 
Interesting. I didn't notice that in the vid before. I watched them for a long time last night, and didn't see any such behavior. Maybe it had to do with the big PE mysis they were eating? It was curious that he scratched the tip of his nose. Regardless, I can treat if need be... but LADD had these for quite some time (the shortest for 4 weeks, in copper)...I'd be pretty surprised if they came to me with anything.

That LR has seen numerous meds...I never had a problem treating the QT with the rock still in there.

The Muellers seems a bit timid still.............I wouldn't put him in a display tank till he's pushing those other 2 BF's to get at the food.
 
All three are doing very well. They remain flawless (no flashing of any kind observed); Perfectly clear fins/eyes. The muelleri is a nut job!! The size food he now sucks down is ridiculous. The paucifasciatus is the least aggressive eater, in the sense that he won't gorge himself like the other two. He eats very well, nonetheless. He also has no problem trying to boss the declivis around, though. I am currently feeding minced scallop, minced jumbo shrimp (muelleri favorite), and PE mysis. Occasionally I'll throw in some live blackworms at the end of the day just to give them that extra girth in their bellies :) I'll try to get a new video tonight.
 
I like that I can randomly drop by and find a thread such as this.

Thank you! Most of the credit at this point needs to go to Kevin Kohen and his team at LiveAquaria. They went WAY above and beyond to get these fish to me in such spectacular condition.

Not treating with anything at this point. I will do a round of prazi in a week or so, once the paucifasciatus is eating as much and aggressively as I'd like. I don't plan to do any copper unless needed.

How big is the Muelleri? DD's are always 4.5"/5" in size.
Wonder if a Copperband or YLN would quarrel?
Have you decided where the Declevis is going?

A little off topic, but how about some vid of the robustus bttfy...
 
Wow, what a difference in the Muellers............that's what you want to see..........him trying to break down the front pane of the tank to get to that food!

What's so cool too is hearing their forcep like mouth ripping food into shreds.

Thanks! The muelleri is small, maybe 3". Kevin specifically told me they held the smallest one back, but offered to release it for me after reading about my year long battle with the marginalis. For the short time I had the marginalis in the reef, the yellow long nose butterflies paid him no attention. I think my reef is done. The yellow long noses look great...why mess with it. Besides, there will be plenty of room in the 240g FOWLR upgrade :)

Yeah, the muelleri has really settled in well. Even chased the paucifasciatus a couple times when it ate food before the muelleri could get it LOL. The food I added was finely minced, so not much noise from the muelleri while eating it. I'll throw in some larger pieces next time...it's REALLY loud!
