The Life Reef Skimmer Club

If others feel that rounder45 is trolling this thread and disrupting it, I'd encourage them to press the little red/white triangle under his screen name on one of his posts.

This will report the post to the moderators.

Arguing directly in the thread runs the risk that the thread will be closed, which would very much be a shame.

responding when quoted is not disrupting a thread... it is carrying on a conversation... whether you personally approve or not... I mean seriously... I'm disrupting things caused I talk about pumps, air draw, equivalent comparisons, tank results, flow rates, neck sizes?? This is a skimmer thread isn't it...why are these allowed to be discussed in all other skimmer threads(clubs) but not here?? :deadhorse1:

Because of this ^^^ :deadhorse1:
Nope, not my reading at all...
I see me getting chastised for asking some question that deserve some thought??? Just talk and answer my question or discuss to your ability and there is no issue... Why so defensive??? My logic and curiosity prompts what I ask... is it really so hard to discuss and answer... have I been rude to you or anyone(NO not intentionally)? have I attacked anyone(NO)? I ask sometimes blunt.. whoopee...

you just don't get it!
you have dominated 10 plus pages of this thread with your armchair engineering and have overstayed your welcome.

It's time for you to go buy a LR and flow meter to measure your air draw and do the testing yourself... As mentioned 10 pages ago.

Obviously no one cares to go through the hassle of testing something for your entertainment... We all have been through numerous skimmers and finally have found one that we are very content with. No more issues and the performance is as good as the other top skimmers with less maintenance and adjustments...

That is the point that you are missing, so stop expecting someone else to go and take the time and spend the money to test this to sell/please you when we are far happier with the LR skimmer than any skimmer we have used before it.

Isn't this a public forum??? Maybe I'm confused... :love1:

I'm not dominating anything... it is just your paying attention more to my posts and follow up? You and others arguing about simply answering my questions is dominating more than me just asking them and engaging in a conversation about them... If anything chastising me for asking a simple question has taken up and dominated way more than simply answering them... two pages of arguments cause I asked if anyone has compared their skimmer air draw to a skimmer of the same air draw on their system... LMFAO... How am I disrupting things??? I'm not... y'all are... by evading questions with illogical and off topic answers... people arguing with me about the answer to the actual effects of the skimmer on you tank... well... why not answer simply???... my question was simple enough(and a couple people finally answered) to not need all the evasion.

I count 7 different Members below expressing their displeasure
so yes, I'd say you're thoroughly confused.

Why don't you take your problems to a different forum please. I'm trying to enjoy this one ! No need for your input. If you don't care for this skimmer, go to the skimmer forum you enjoy. I own a Corvette, I don't go to the Mustang forum and diss their car.

Rounder you are all over the place. Maybe you will find answers to your questions in the skimmer thread?

^^^^ Ditto

^^^ deadhorse

^^^^ pls move on

But at this point, it's time to move on. You're not going to receive the satisfaction of whatever you are looking for here. Haven't you figured that out yet?

+1

You keep asking the same question and people have been answering. But it seems that you already have a specific answer that you want to hear and won't accept the answers we give you.

Almost like explaining why top mount intercoolers are better and more efficient for cars under 450whp vs front mount intercoolers to someone that only cares that in the end more power can be supported by a front mount even though they only want 350whp

this times eleventy billion

So…it sounds like you've got the answer you were looking for after several destroyed pages.

Does that mean that you will do us all a favor and cease your participation in this otherwise enjoyable thread?
you've been accused of being a troll not for asking what you deem to be "the tough questions" but rather your "look at me" chihuahua like ankle biting approach.
its obvious you're not a fan of Life Reef so help us all out and move on and allow us to get back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Post #778... Get the point and move on. Create a thread looking for people who want to test skimmers for you since you wont test them yourself?

*** Correction - create a thread looking for people who want to test different pumps and their air draw rates based on whether they are setup venturi or pinwheel since you wont test them yourself... You are actually more after pump information than you are skimmer information...

Thanks to everyone here providing valuable input, I spoke to Jeff and there is some real life practicality into the skimmer. I just order a 30 for a new build.

Unfortunately the last few pages have been worthless. Like in the school yard if you ignore the attention seeker (eg do not answer or provide acknowledgment they will move one). Don't get drawn in.
