I see so far the Vectra M1 & the JEBAO/JECOD DCT 6000. Are they easy to connect? Any other ones?
Fyi, I guarantee you that mag drive is not consuming that much going through the venturi.Any efficient replacement pump for the MagDrive 9.5 electric guzzler @ 93Watts?
just got my new svs3-24 last night hooked up. tried to set the water level as suggested but i am not sure if it is correct for my tank. the water really splashes around the top .

Cool the 4000 should do okI've got a brand new 4000 on my shelf as backup for my return pump. I'll give it a go, otherwise I'll get a 6000 (I may just order one anyway to have another backup pump on hand).

Since I have it here, I'm going to try the Ecotech L1 on my 36" external Lifereef.
I need to cut some watts. I'm using a panworld 100x-X and I don't think it's pushing enough water through the skimmer. The L1 will certainly be able to get that taken care of lol

Yep, the 4000 will be ok. The 6000 better.Would prefer the 6000 for sure... I'd even flirt with the 8000 and dial it down some.
It will skim with the 4000 but not as good as it would with a 6000.
And possibly adds to resale valueIs that 425 liters? I think a 24 will be okay for that volume (112 gallons). The difference between the two your looking at is that one has the flange design with thumb screws and the other doesn't. I'll always be a fan of the flange design. It allows you to get an extension for a taller skimmer if your bioload is high, or if you upgrade to a larger system. It also allows you to clean inside the body MUCH easier.
