That fish was a percula i would have called it a percula if it had no eyes.

I wasn't too sure but I was leaning toward percula because of the eyes.

its mouth is far to well defined to be ocellaris, ocellaris have a smoother less defiined face.


also as much as people are confused by coloration that is pure percula coloration, I have never seen an ocellaris colored like that but i have purchased ORA percs that looked just like that.

Actually, the price was less than either of the LFS. And I split shipping with 3 other people so it worked out great. Plus the pair were both purchased at the same size but one is definitely larger and more dominant so I got lucky. They took to my Frogspawn like well...like fish to water after only 2 days in the display tank.
I am extremely happy with this purchase...

That is good, I was guessing that you got one of the $180 pairs from the Divers Den. Either way, they are very nice!

Ahh...I am not that well off. Hehe. I just put a note with the order that one perc be slightly smaller than the other and got lucky. $45 and change all told after splitting shipping.

And the Frogspawn they are hosting in (horrible picture attached) I got from a local reefer friend who went all SPS in his tank. The thing has about 12 heads plus a bunch of baby heads forming. I was giddy as a schoolgirl when i saw them hosting it after only 2 days in the display tank.
Pic was just a quick point and shoot. I will be taking lots more with settings dialed in...
