I'm lvoing those magician palys. On the rare occasions that I see pictures of them on the web, they always get me, wow.

Just a couple of pics before I break the tank down and move. Im not showing the right side of the tank as it is a mess. Ive got a bunch of sps in there(insurance pieces) temporarily as I have already started breaking the big tank down.

Oh good, I was going to pm you to ask about these very things.
Thanks for taking pics before you tear it down Flyyyguy. Everything looks like they've grown since the last fts! I love the way it all looks.
Aww...bye little green mouthed ones, you'll be in your home in no time. Bye bye wee chong bongs, see you soon...*tucks little blankets around them*.

How long will you be out of pocket from the forum here Flyyyguy?
You know, so I can know when to start bugging for pics. ;)

hard to say. The tanks will be up and running full in their new temporary home shortly, and remain there while I build my new house. Im building the entire house myself more or less. So its going to be much harder work than Ive been used to for 3-6 months. End result is going to be sweet though, and I am very much looking forward to it. When done I will aslo have 800 sq feet of a daylight basement dedicated to my saltwater addiction. You can expect at least one tank that will make my 240 look small :D

So basically your building your house around your tank. Oh man And I can expect at least one tank that will make your 240 look small?
*wees self*
I can't wait to see pics of it all wow.
Okay, let us know how your corals and fish did with the move.
Thanks Flyyyguy.

I'm going to continue my question from the other thread and move it over here, since it's more appropriate here I think. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1498923
So what were the zoanthids which you were advising a few folks of the striations on it's underside.
I can't be mixing you up with someone else, you're one whose advice I always seem to remember. Had to be that I got the actual zoanthid mixed up and mistakenly thought it was the Tubs Blue zoas.

Also, how are your zoas and palys doing. I just love them, they're all awesome.

it is zoanthus gigantus (People eaters)that have the tell tale white striations on the outside of the head of the closed polyps

thanks. Best wishes and luck will be good. its going to be a rough year. The only thing left in my house in Oregon is a couple of beds and my tanks. I have mostly set up 2 new comparably sized (temp)systems on the new property. Once they run for a couple of weeks I am going to slam dunk everything form here to there, and then re-set up these two as is.

The way I peg all rocks and corals, as well as am BB, it is an easier task than it woudl be for many, but best wishes and luck is appreciated. I need it. :)

Ive contemplated dumping everything and just starting over when the house is built, but I just cant bring myself to do it, especially on my sps. I dont want to start completely over again. The last time my sps tank was just getting mature enough to really be something I had an accident and killed everything. That was a year and a half ago.

Then with the cracked tank issue that happened this summer, it was a little bit of a set back, and had some losses, but I made it through for the most part, and Im going to fight to keep it going. :)

Dont think I havent sent out some insurance pieces, as well as have insurance pieces in the polyp tank. The last couple of years has very much humbled me in concern to loss, and what can happen. I still keep the same old avatar signature as a reminder. :)

Good grief, gold sparkles? I'm not made out of wood people.
I mean what other living animal on the Earth has golden sparkles? None. Zip. Nada.
Okay, Peacocks...maybe. But nothing else.
No-thing has gold sparkles. Except Mohawk palys. My Mohawk palys.

flyyyguy,

How do you attach the frags to your brached rocks and keep them from falling off?

most are pegged. I talked some about that here.

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=13465286#post13465286

I peg rocks of all sizes from frag plug size to salad plate size. then when I add anything if there is room I just pull them out for a second and glue more coral on it and replace. :)

The ones that arent pegged I just use IC gel.

Might sound really stuipid, but....for the ones that arent pegged, you just put IC gel on a frag than stick it on a desired location on an established rock already instide the tank under water?
