Might sound really stuipid, but....for the ones that arent pegged, you just put IC gel on a frag than stick it on a desired location on an established rock already instide the tank under water?

not stupid at all. :)

Yes, thats pretty much it. Using glue and epoxy underwater takes a littel bit of practice, but once you figure it out you can stick pretty much anything anywhere

Yes. There are actually two different kinds of yumas pictured there. Both are hands down the brightest corals I have.

Well....this evening I am prepping for the move and tomorrow morning is when I am moving the 240 sps tank.

All luck and good wishes appreciated. :) I will need it.

I have a couple hundred gallons of water made up and to temp at the final destination, and I will be transporting/salvaging 150 gallons of the water fromt he tank. I will be moving the water in a 150 gallon rubbermaid in the back of the truck with a temp controller and a coupel of heaters wired into one inverter in the truck which will keep the water to temp for the entire trip. And one more inverter and mag 18 to provide circulation in this tub of water. All corals will be individually bagged and will be floating in this water that will be (in theory) to perfect temp the entire trip.

When I get there I will set up the tank and slam dunk all rock and corals right back in. Im hoping to achieve all of this in 5-6 hours from the time the corals are removed from the tank to the time they go back in. Its a 3 hour and 15 minute drive.

Well, Im back to get the polyp tank now.

The 240 move was overall a great success. Lost most of a tenius colony that rtn'd for no apparent reason and a piece of uncommon bright yellow porites that I accidentally overlooked when unbagging and tossed the bag. Found it on the deck the following morning at about 35 degrees.

By far the worst part of it all was I lost my 8" chevron. :( :( :( He was my favorite fish.

I had bagged up more than a couple hundred bags in total and the fish were the last to bag up. I was tired. Im guessing I didnt provide him enough air in the bag. It should have been enough but finding him dead I realized I should have put more. Regardless of what actually killed him, he was DOA

Sad, but again, Im very pleased with the overall results of the move considering what the potential damage could have been.

The small polyp tank Im moving in the morning should be infinitely easier for countless reasons.

a couple pics in memory of my chevron

Aww, I'm sorry sweetie. :( I've seen your tang's face before in threads. RIP little guy.
Sorry about the loss of your porites too.

well.....Im back again. The deed is done. No signifigant issues nor losses moving the polyp tank besides taking twice as long as I intended, and not getting much sleep....both of which are to be expected.

I dropped the trigger in my sps tank instead of back into the polyp tank. I am short on fish IMO and needed the poop there more at the moment, so I need to think about another fish or two to put in the polyp tank. I hate adding new fish and messing with any community that already works. That said I just may pick up another niger to replace the one ai removed.
