For the curved part will a 1x6 or 1x8 work do you know for the curved front? I forgot to measure before I left for work. Making front 3 or so braces to form the 1/8" wood to. My 46 bow:

I don't think any 1" think boards will be able to make that radius. I was told to use thin plywood and steam it.
I used stainless steel, rolled it for the radius, put a couple of tabs on the bottom to support the weight, and use magnets to hold it to the wood canopy.

I meant the braces, I want the cut and make a front frame to glue/staple the front 1/8" to. See the 3-1" braces I made for the 46. Not sure if a 6" or 8 wide will be enough for the curvature of the tank from memory

Ah, I see what you mean now.

Can't help ya until I get home from work in a couple of hours. Then I could lay a straight edge from corner to corner and measure from the front back.

Found a great deal on a 92 corner.........but I did the "right thing" and didn't pull the trigger.

LOL

Moving! Ugh

Moving! Ugh

I'm getting ready to move in about four weeks, moving my 235 gallon bowfront tank. If I bring all the live rock and water, will the tank need to cycle again?

It might have a small cycle, but it shouldn't be a full blown cycle. If you keep the rock wet and keep most of your water, you should be all set. Go with new sand if you use it, that will also help to avoid a cycle.

Corner Aquscape ideas

Hi all, I have been piecing together a 92 gallon corner for some time now. I am getting close to pulling the trigger and putting it all together and was thinking about the aquascaping. It is challenging with a corner setup to make it not look like just a pile of rock stuck in the corner and with that in mind I was thinking about setting up my aquascape like I would compose a photograph. I would frame it across the bottom front with some candy cane corals Do a minimalist / bonsai / cave live rock design behind it and then frame it across the back wall at the top with some sps corals. What do you think?

I like to put the rock back and towards the glass in a "V", that gives you a good open sand area in the front and middle.
