The Reef Central Corner Club Thread

I went with a "v" shape to follow the outside of the tank, giving me good sandbed area for frags. I would like to redo my formation too, just haven't gotten to it yet.

I guess this would be the best place to ask. How many people have experience lighting a corner tank up with the kessil line?

I've been looking around and thats what i'm leaning towards due to the aesthetics, shimmer, and ease of use.
There website is a little out of date on what to use for coverage it says 3 150's for a 92 corner
I'm wondering if I could get away with 2 of the new 160's.

Sticking to softies and maybe a bubble tip anemone, so I don't need anything too extreme.

Flow

Flow

For flow i'm just using a couple of koralia pointed at eachother.

However I was looking at the new maxspect gyre. I would love to see one of those setup in a corner tank :bounce1:

I think you would be fine. Just understand going into it you may have some shadowy/low light areas.

I was thinking that might happen, where I would have some shadowing. However I guess I might have the option of adding a third down the line.

Plus I could try to position them so that the low light area was on the back half of my rock formation, and into the overflow area.

If you use 2 of them, positioned equally over the tank area(not including the overflow) I think you should be OK.

If/When I go to a 92 from my 54, I'm going to add another Radion Pro to my existing one.

So I noticed lately I'm getting white film at the top of my 54, it does ripple though. Does this mean my return pump should be increased as its not skimming the top?

I have to koralia 750s and dc6000 return set on level 1

You need some surface agitation. How do you have your loc-line aimed?
I have mine with a flare fitting, and it just hits the surface and keeps it agitated, but doesn't splash or make noise.

Thank you, also here's a pic of my line loc for advice

Are you going to move the heater to the overflow area?

I can see the film on the surface, definitely not getting enough agitation. I have my locline going level just under the surface and then the flare aimed slightly upwards to really agitate the surface.

Yes on heater, had to switch it out and make sure it was keeping the tank stable as the old one was not.

I ordered my flares last night, I will move down and point slightly up too
