i just let whatever grow on the sides. the only thing i wipe down is the front witha mag float. the shadow cast by my koralia #1 is ALL coraline, kinda neat.

I'd like too see that it sounds pretty cool.

There are a few small frags, seven to be exact. There is also crabs and snails and pods. Fish won't come till mid March. I live in Pittsburgh, most don't get "good" fish in till about then. I'm gonna wait for what I want not what's there.

Mike, almost all sps. One leather, (maybe two later on), and 4 or 5 lps. That may change when the good weather comes along. As things mature the bottom may get covered with acans.

Thats a awsome pic of the caroline taking over the shadow of the pwoerhead! The purple has started to grow all over my powerheads too so I hope that it takes up over the shadow next!

Also is that a pink & green hammer? I can't tell but thats one cool coral!::wow::

I can also agree to the shipping being touchy. I live in London Ontario and my only time I've ordered live off the net I was burned.
My experiance is fish & snails don't ship well and almost lost everything most by the time I got them 72hrs later but 90% dead in 2 weeks.
Seastars & shrimp shrimp just fine, not a single loss.

I should also mention that my first & only experiance they mannaged to lose my order arround Toronto and delayed so perhaps things should have been diffrent.

well my acros have arrived, and ive just stuck them to the rocks with milliput, unfortunately my lemon peel is picking at them already, he may get bored with them hopefully and leave them be, i will try to get a picture up later

heres a couple of pics, the putty has gone hard now, hopefully in a week or two the plugs will be covered with corraline and you wont see the putty

Ils sont beaux! (Took two years of French in HS and never have used it... may as well now). :D

Those things are going to grow like "mad" in there!

cheers guys thanks for the positive comments, hope they do start to thrive and grow, im testing daily at the moment anyhow, im just worried about the vacation period, very worried

lOOKS Great Mike....Youve inspired me to post new pics......

The coraline will grow rather fast.......just scrape some and smear it on....

oh and Pulp Fishin, yeah its pink and green, somedays more purple than pink. i got it for free from a local reefer that had 2 almost basketball sized colonies in his 180. its growng fast. its about the size of a cantalope.

I did enjoy reading it! Very nice, Bernie! Can you tell me how your temperature sits with the fans you have on there? Do you have a separate vent? Are the fans blowing in, or out? Wish I could see it in real life! :D

I have 4 fans, 2 blowing cool air in from the sides, 2 near the exhaust of the MH blowing the warm air out of the top... The tank ranges from 77-79. Thanks for the compliments... It is still a work in progress...

y so worried? cause of the lemon peel angel? or just because they are the first acros?

worrried about leaving the tank unattended for 8 days, in theory it should be fine, my top off is working and the 2 resevoirs should hold enough water to last for top offs, but the lemon peel is a little bugger and im worried hes going to eat some corals if he gets hungry, i can only get someone to check the tank once whilst im away

Oh, you're welcome! It's a very nice setup, throughout.

Might I ask what fans you are using? You're temperature is perfect and I'd like to mimic what you've done. (They say it's the greatest form of flattery afterall). :)

Michael...you should invest $20-$30 on an automatic feeder for when you're gone... its the easiest way to leave the tank have peace of mind that your angel is not going to have a buffet...
Flip, I just went to tiger direct & bought 4 computer fans, the most basic ones, they were like $5 each, you can see the install on my build thread, its listed step by step. Yeah thankfully heat is not one of my problems. Even through the tank crash my corals have not been affected. Once again thanks... I did get alot of advice for the build.
