Wiskey,

Great job with the grain on that stand. As for the 2x4's, just take a look at most commercially available stands. No support really, they just sit on the 3/4" ply.

Good luck

I have started to make up water over the weekend yea. I have decided to fill it half way just to make sure that the tank does not leak. Then I will fill it up the following week and make sure the plumbing does not leak. Finally I will add the salt and hope for the best. I have just picked up a 200 gallon pail of tropic marin pro . By the end of May I will buy some rock I think 100lbs should be enough for what I want to do. I will post pictures as I progress talk to everyone soon:)
P.S. wish me luck on no leaks :)

its going to be really nice when you are done, i like!!
You can say that again!!

Trueblackperc...what is that diagonal over hang over the tank?
Looks like a very good use of that space underneath it. Any problems reaching the side of the tank against the side wall?

I will be changing the upper left side just a bit. The rock is amazing I could have not picked it out better myself. in a few weeks it should be ok. I picked up the rock from a on line vender.
http://www.saltycritter.com/liverock.htm Dan was a great help and was very helpful. The rock I picked out was Uaniva Live Rock it comes in multi shapes and larger sizes but it sure is not light that;s for sure very very heavy. I will post better pictures when the water clears up some more. I will also need to stop the micro bubbles from entering the tank.
The pictures do not show how large and colorful.

The roof of the house. The tank is up stairs on the last floor :) The back wall will be a hard task to clean but thats what extentsion poles are for.

Let's see some pix of your equipment in action - dealing with the new live rock - especially your sweeeeeeet skimmer!!!

Trueblackpercula,

How was the shipping expense of the rock from Saltycritters ? How much did you get ? I am thinking of getting rock there also and want to know what I should budget for it. Since you said the rock is dense, how big were the pieces and poundage. I am trying to guage how much to get. You can PM me if you dont want to post prices.

Thanks,

Kasei

PS: The tank is looking really good.

Thanks veryone here are some pictures of the skimmer in action, the skimmer is not even broken in yet

The rock was not bad to ship 40 bcuks ups 2 day service. all peices are the size of a football or a little biger. I picked up 75 lbs and i love it. I wanted something that would be a very open area for the corals to grow into the system. I added some carbon today but the water is still not at 100% clear its more like 70% I have the actincs on only for now until the coraline algea starts to grow. I will post some pictures very soon.
