the swirler-stein

I cut the x by drilling 4 small holes in a cross shape then drilling another hole down the center. It took a little bit of dremel work to clean it up after that.

Super glue. I didn't use too much though. I can break the bond fairly easily with just my hands if I ever need to.

If memory serves me correct...

I brought the 1/2" pipe (gray) through the bottom of the box then attached a 1/2" to 3/4" reducing bushing (white) to the end so the pipe couldn't slip down towards the tank. The white piece of acrylic attached to the bushing was made using a dremel and a small piece of 1/4" thick acrylic sheet (also white). This piece took about 5 minutes of quality time with the dremel. If you don't have a dremel you can get a cheap copy from MJ Mods.com.

Finally, after all of this was in place I took a coupler and slid it up the pipe to the bottom side of the box so the pipe couldn't lift either. You can't see this in the pic of course because it would be on the underside. I had to dremel out the coupler a touch so it would slide all the way up.

Amazing its been almost 2 years since I last posted in this thread.:)

These should work:

http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UID=2008021812031614&item=5-1563-C&catname=electric

They sell out periodically then list the motors as new listings each time they get more in stock (this is why the previous motor links do not come up any more).

yup ordered 7 of those last week, they should be here soon.

I talked with the rep, and he said its basicly the same as the other motor(about 7 in-lb)

Can anyone that has completed this DIY project post pictures and a tutorial on how to go about making this wave box? The pictures from older pages have been deleted, so it is a bit harder to see what it is being done.

I speak for many when I say, thanks!

This is the pic I posted earlier in the thread...of all of the versions I've seen, I think this one would be one of the easiest.
