The Twins Aquarium thread

While making my weekly CBW purchase from Twins today I noticed a really clean looking dussumeri tang in the big tank at the end/front of the isles. He needs a big home but for someone who has the room it's a beautiful fish!
 
Was at John's (Twins) after the meeting and he had some nice "Rusty" Angelfish. He also had about 10 frags of Acans and a few of his mini Acro colonies for a really good price.
 
I was there this last Sunday. John had a nice Sohal Tang in his "bottom" tank. Also a couple Cherub Pygmy, a Rusty Angel, a few Firefish, spotted Mandarin, and a gorgeous Majestic Angel. Corals were the same mushes, and acan frags. Everything else was about the same....oh yea, HE HAD CHROMIES!!! I finally got my little guys :D
 
While it's still on my mind, John currently has 175 and 250 watt DE Phoenix 14k bulbs in stock. Thought I'd bring that up since some of us run those bulbs. :)
 
Hey I don't think I've ever been to twins what's the address and does anyone know if they have any peppermint shrimp?I'm looking for about ten of them to spread around in my tank I have a nasty aptasia problem

He usually has peps in stock. Flag down the little asian guy cause he'll seldomly ask you if you need help. John is a super cool guy and runs the shop with his wife. Pay close attention to his tanks cause you'll always find crazy stuff lingering about. I always love going here to see whats inside the tanks.
 
Eeek took me 11 pages of searching to finally find this post. Guess I could of used the search function...would of been faster LOL

Well any who, on my way to Elk Grove I stopped by to say hi to an old friend :) Shop is looking a lot neater and organized. Still cramped floor to ceiling with stuff but I love John and he's super fun to talk to. Can't believe two of his daughters are going for their PhD's...smart family...

But while I was there, I spotted three blue jaw triggers in the tank by the register. Some bleached out Bubble Anemones in the same tank. He also had like 20+ frags of acans for sale. I seen some blastos in that tank also. He is also selling some mini acro and assorted SPS colonies for a really good price. The typical mushroom tanks and of course the prized California Black Worms were also there. I'll be stopping by in a week or so, that place really makes me miss Stockton.

Oh yea, I noticed he's carrying Mag drive pumps...don't recall seeing them there last time around. Also almost a full line of the Koralia powerheads. Some are on the shelf and some inside his display case. I seen some Ushio Bulbs and Phoenix DE bulbs in the case next to some coral meds and other random things. I also seen some Microbe-Lift Bacteria for those who are looking for it. :)
 
Shoot forgot about the worms, was going to get some today. He had a REALLY nice Lamarck's Angel there, very fat and about 4-5" if anyone is looking for one.
 
The only salts i've seen John carry is bagged Instant Ocean and containers of Oceanic. The only shop I know of is Tropical Haven that carries Seachem Reef and AquaVitro Salinity.
