I did get the holes drilled in the wall for my plumbing. I still cannot believe my wife allowed me to do this :)

This is where my CL pumps will sit. Out of the way, but still in an easy access spot for me to get a hold of.

Well...The 57g frag tank has cycled and is now starting to fill up with livestock that is waiting for their new home to finish up!

I aquired 3 green carpet nems that may or not make it to the display tank. I kinda like them in the frag tank, but we will see.

Looking great.

Before you get too far, you might think of adding some unions/valves before and after all the OM4way outlets. I have heard horror stories of one piece of sand binding up the drum inside causing it to stop spinning. It would be nice to easily be able to service it when needed.

Does the color of your basement walls happen to be called bahama breeze? im pretty sure we have the same color...wierd..

very cool pics

Thanks!

Yup, i tore it all off...bought unions and ball valves. Going to re-do it all when i have time. It was expensive, but i think it will be a must! :)

cbort,
You did good
I know it stinks to cut out plumbing that you took alot of time to put together, but you did the right thing. That OM will eventually need to come off for maintance.

Thanks a lot! I was worried whether or not I should have added a set of 2 unions to each one near the ball valve and one near the OM. But hopefully this works. If I have to do maintenance on the OM, I should be able to shut off water flow loosen unions take apart OM and return it back into place.
Next I am going to decide whether or not I want to put both my CL pumps in my fish room or put them under the display tank. It would be a lot less work putting them under the display tank, but I fear noise may become an issue, and my stand may become a big resonance box for 2 3000+gph pumps. I think i will put them both under the tank tonight and do a ver quick dry run for about 5 sec. Just to see how loud they run together.

Don't run them dry (even for a test) you will damage the pumps...
If under the stand, you will need to cover them up with tons of insulation to kill the sound.
I do strongly suggest pitting them in your fish room with flex spa pipe up to your system..
