Thoughts on Acropower?

So the recommendations on the bottle are 25ml per 25G per week "or as often as daily". Am I to assume that if I choose daily it would be 25ml per 25G divided by 7?

bringing this thread back to life as I just got a bottle of acropower.

how much are you guys dosing and what would you recommend dosing at the beginning per 25 gallon of water per day? Like 3ml per 25g a day or should I go lighter to start? My tank is a 180 gallon tank with around 30 different SPS frags

I dose at night after lights out. on about 95gals I do 5ml/day via doser. I've noticed a big difference in growth, when the bottle runs out things tend to slow down whereas when I have a full bottle I can notice new growth every 5-7 days. only thing is that it's a bit expensive at $40/bottle. once half of it is gone I re-fill the bottle with rodi just so that it lasts longer and it's more of an even distribution of it I find.

I originally posted in this thread last December and I wasn't convinced of any results besides green cyano.

More recently I used AP for about 2 months straight dosing 5 mL after lights out every second evening. 73 gallons net.
When I first started I noticed a bit of green cyano in a lower flow area like I did the first time I used it. I stopped using it about 2 weeks ago and plan to start up again after a full month off. I'm experimenting to see if there are noticeable results. In my tank I don't think there is. I feed heavily though a homemade mash with lots of fish oil so my tank gets a lot of aminos that way.

I have been using it ever since I started this tank when they were all small frags.
Julian wanted me to use it from the beginning and see how it works for me. I would say it works very well. 28 months old now.

Acropower increases level of organics in water (cuz it's composition of organic molecules, anyway). Which may (and will ) results in extra algae/cyano/etc if overused.

I used it for a while. When I got tired to pay $$ for bottle of water and switched to my own amino-acid mix:

Saw the same kind of feeding response from corals when I "inject" aminomix.

In you run UNLS system, then adding amino-mix may syply provide extra food for coral. I'm almost positive if fish are given more food the result will be the same.

I used to dose it every day. Had reduce vodka dosing.
Now I dose it occasionally when I remember. SPS are better (colors, polyp extension), some of "almost dead" are coming back. However, it may be due to extra fish food (I feed now few times a day and I increased fish population), so in my opinion:

Acropower is good. However, it's not a magic bullet and won't help if something is wrong. It's organic and may increase organics in water, so it has to be used carefully.

Nicely grown out for 2 years, may I ask what else you dose besides acropower?
