Well I got 2 little Teardrop Maximas from my LFS. Pretty sweet ones too may I add, well I am running 2 175 watt 14k metal halides. The clams are on the "sandbed". I noticed that they are extending thier mantles more now than they did a week or 2 ago?? Should I be concerned or move them up higher, or should I just leave them there and let them do thier thing?

So your the one who got those before I had a chance to!!!!!

j/k they are beautiful. What are you feeding them?

Over extention of the mantle can be a reaction to not enough light. If possible I would move them higher, especially since it's a higher kelvin bulb. What size tank do you have and how high are the lights above the surface?

I am currently "bowl feeding" them the Liquid life USA products, they worked great with my Gigas and the old Maxima that used to have. One clam is a half inch and the other is a little bigger. I am gonna post some pics when I get a chance to retake the pics from above.
