Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. It was an awesome experience for a noob such as myself, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum here. Looking forward to the next one.
I am glad the meeting turn out well I had a lot of fun. The turnout was great. And glad to see everyone like what we added to the raffle from fish pros. I was hoping to walk away with a clam but i think they will be better off in ken and johns hands. next one will be even better. I was also glad to see 4 new faces hope everyone can make it out to the next one
Thanks every one, not a bad turn out for a meeting that almost didn't happen.dang it I wanted a clam!
May be my luck will change and next time I'll get a piece of that pearl berry.
That was nice to put faces to names. Had a great time. Brought 6 corals ad walked with 6. Not too bad! Plus the 2 I bought from fish pros lol. Samantha really wanted one of those clams, but apparently everyone else wanted them too! We are looking forward to the next meet.
Wish I could have went. Family time meant I was at the mall watching the kids while she went shopping LOL Glad there was new blood in the club. Can't imagine how nice it would be when we hit on all cylinders for a meeting! No pics?
I proposed this at the end when their were only a couple of us left...but how does everyone feel about having a bbq on one of our summer meets at a nice park that has gazebos so corals can have shade?? Also would make for a good family outting, kids can play and we all can just hang out...
Yes, meetings at Bobs are very nice, as is his pool in the summer.
Twice I have brought my weber bbq grill to meetings.
I got a super cute maxima clam.
Tables in a parking lot weren't very photogenic, but maybe we could make a point of trying to snap a group pic at the start of the raffle? There were more than a few now world famous WCR shirts present. Politically it would be appropriate to feature the host (and / or key staff) in shots.
Also interesting was the discussion where members debated raffle versus swap formats. Raffle format seemed more popular by far. Something to consider for future meetings?
