Top Fin Battery Operated Backup Air Pump (For Power Outages)

can get em at walmart or places that carry sport fishing supply's they are used for keeping minnows alive . maybe cheaper
should work fine for your tank. it will help a lot with surface exchange. have used several times . kept everything alive for me

We had a 4 day power outage a few years ago & when I went running around looking for one there weren't any. Good to have in case of an emergency. I kept my tank going by using a coleman battery operated air pump & airline tubing.

Is there maybe a name brand that you recommend over this one.

Most that I have seen are only like 5 to 10 dollars more than this one.

Except the Ecotech one of course which is like 175

you want the versions that auto switch on

the tetra d does it

cuz you know outages will happen when you arent at home, worst case scenario planning. ive got one on my tank. I yank the power cord out of the wall occasionally and she starts pumping away

I have that one. It will come on automatically if the power goes out. I'll keep it on my small tanks.

It'll run on batteries for about 3 days.

How many of these do you think I should use for a standard 55 gallon aquarium?

I will be going out of town soon.
