Torch coral extends tentacles below skeleton

I purchased this torch coral about 2 weeks ago. Sadly I didn't realize at the time that the guy who fragged the coral must have cut the coral through the mouth, bc I have yet to see the mouth on this guy. For now, the tentacles come out a bit but more so when my actinics are one. During the day it seems to retract as if its getting too much light. I have another torch nearby and its fully extended in the light so I don't feel like its getting too much. Also, the torch extend from below the skeleton. I don't believe its dying bc its not shrinking, its tentacles are actually getting larger. Just wondering what I can do to try to help it heal or at least begin to start covering its skeleton again and hopefully grow a new mouth.

Id hate to lose this one bc its pretty cool, its tentacles have an orange streak and looks awesome with the actinics.

I would try putting it in an area of lower lighting, maybe at the ends of your tank or slightly under a shelf. Not all specimens will react the same even under similar lighting conditions. It also appears as though it may be a little bleached from your two photos but it's hard to tell.
