Trident tailed Achilles Goldrim Hybrid

Saw that they will have what I'm sure is to be a stunner Achiiles Goldrim hybrid with a trident tail. Whoever gets this guy and if you are active on here please post some pictures when you get it next week. I would try my luck at hitting the refresh button at 6pm tonight but I am still a ways out from setting up my new tank (not like I would put a Achilles in a tank under 4-5 months old anyway let alone a trident tailed hybrid). Again if you get this guy please post some pics and share this rare trident tailed hybrid with the rest of us!

Your actually who came to mind, I hope you give into temptation! I know he will be going to a great home and aquarist.:fish1:

Thanks! If I do, it has to be my last tang. Looking at my tank, it's obvious I have a problem!

I see this periodically. Maybe they decided it wasn't quite ready, and it will appear shortly; or more likely somebody with an established record of spending $$$ got it ahead of time. Not 'fair' really, but understandable.

I too think this is what happened. Chromi Diver Den is where said fish was coming from

I don't know. I asked DD a week or two ago to reserve several fish that they had told me were coming up in several weeks and they said it was against their policy. Now, I'm not necessarily spending thousands of dollars on a regular basis so who knows about their "preferred" customers. But I agree, can't blame them. I don't know the cost feasibility of their operation but I wished others would copy them and offer "conditioned" fish/coral...it's such a great service and the lack of it is the only reason why I still buy fish at LFS (I can see them eat).

This is purely speculation but I would assume if a aquarium wanted the fish they would get it over your average joe, or I'm sure there are those like Hedgedrew that have huge systems and deep pockets that have priority? You would also think that they wouldn't mention it on a sneak peek and then not offer it considering it has been there at least two weeks and is eating

Kevin will never mention a fish in sneak peek and then sell it privately, never...
My guess is there was something wrong with the fish and the wisely chose not to list it...

Hopefully it was just a photography issue or something simple and we'll see it up in the next week or two.

I wouldn't question if Kevin did, I see the moral obligation in not doing this and ethics.Good info Ami, I also hope that the issue is photo related.
