Trident tailed Achilles Goldrim Hybrid

When I got my Achilles 3 years ago it was with the intention of QTing him and keeping him for a few months and then he was going to a friend with a reef tank in their office. Well....couldn't give him up so here I am 3 years later and a 7 1/2" monster. Can't wait to see the pics after you get him!
 
I think this 'orange' trident has more potential - I am not worried about restarting with a fish- and he is going to my friends lfs sps display sooo pretty sweet for everyone
 
hello all- fish arrived safely this am , packed very well per normal from DD.

Very interesting fish, markings are very stragne and orange :)

here is a quick pick of him flashing.

3 Landed in Toronto Recently.....

3 Landed in Toronto Recently.....

A LFS here in Toronto received 3 hybrid Achilles x Goldrim this past weekend. All were in the 5"-6" range for sizing. 2 of the hybrids are very distinct in colouration while the 3rd has a lighter "trident" tail. I'll try and take pictures and post a little later.

Glad he arrived well. After looking at him more, I really think he's an aberrant achilles. The orange dorsal is a tell, plus the lack of goldrim in general... Very interested to see if a teardrop develops. Good luck!
 
Sad news guys - lost the fish on day2 - not really sure what happend - she was fine for 24+ hrs then boom-

Was in a 20g long with simple hob/ temp was 74 (via probe and temp strip) salinty was 1.024 (which was very close to arrival salinty) and I had a amm badge which was normal yellow. I also did not feed (I don't feed day1 to let the fish chill)

Saddddddd - first tang I have lost :(

Wow so sorry to hear about this! I guess some fish just aren't meant to be housed in home aquariums? Sad to see this guy go to the fish Gods
 
Thanks guys- sad day my self- makes me feel like a let down- I have housed and qt'ed 3 'normal' achillies and a hybrid all doing great in other systems - also done several other tangs - black, gem, aberrant white, powder blue, chevron, black hybrid ---- just loss - so lost - :((((
