Tubs' Starbright Lokani ???

I believe that acro was only grown by Hugo (snipersps), and was subsequently lost in his tank crash last summer. I know John sold a few frags, and hopefully, those are still living.
 
I'm still kicking myself for this one. John gave me a huge frag last year, and had a senior moment when I got home. I freakin' left it in the cooler for 2 days

It was a very nice looking coral.

Hmmm wonder if he ever gave Alex (ROAB) a frag of this, because I have something that I believe looks a lot like this, of course I'm going by memory and am way too lazy to walk down to my tank to check :D

Wow...I didn't know his tank crash...Do you know what happen?:confused:

It crashed last summer during a power outage. Do a search on his name. There is a huge thread on it.

Double checking, probably not... however all 4 pictures on the site are different color so I don't know :) It looks a lot like the original one, very pale base with purple tips, however the polyps that come out are greenish in color, but then again none of the pictures show polyps extending :)

Also it's a small frag of it, so there's bound to be some simularities when it grows out I'll see how the coral structure forms. And from there, probably won't say I have it, but say "I have something really close, uber rare give me money now!! $$$$$ :D" We'll see, I've tried to take a picture, but that piece is right in front of scratch central on my acrylic, and regardless how I try I can't get it... I'll try for a top down shot when I get time to make a lens housing to semi-submerge my camera, or i could just turn off all the pumps and hope for no reflection... either way :D
 
Update:

The Starbright Lokani was a colony that John picked up before breaking down his tanks. I believe he got it from a BA wholesaler, and the coral was imported from Tonga.

I believe he sold the colony because when he was breaking his tanks down, the only colony remaining from that purchase was this one.

Hmm... I may have something like that.It was a wild colony when I brought it and 4 months later looks kind of nice. Looks purple in person.
