either is a good option, I went with tunze because i wouldn't be able to take the noise of the vortechs. quiet if turned down but whats the point if you can't use the powerhead to their full ability.
also go with a 7096 controller, cheaper than the 95 and should do the same options
If you have a reef controller, can you avoid the tunze controller all together?
Two 6105's and an apex will do the same thing as the two 6105's and the 7095 tunze controller??
For the price of the tunze controller it would be worth buying a really good reefkeeper for just a bit more, and get it running the lights and heaters too ...
Not trying to start a war here, but I can see paying that much for the MP40s. Yes I know they are great pumps...and you really do get what you pay for. However, I personally feel the Tunze pumps are just as good (though a little bigger).
I'm pretty sure it does the same thing too, just needs to be programmed with the computer first to get to the right settings.
But its not mac compatible from what I've read ... Windows only by the looks of things. Up to Vista ... not even sure if Windows 7 will work for it.
Dead silence is a key for me ... it sounds like the tunzes are the way to go.
The Tunze 7096 software is absolutely Mac compatible. I'm running 10.6 Snow Leopard and the Mac 7096 download from the Tunze website works great.
FWIW, Roger (the US Tunze rep) has said that there is a new update for the 7096 software coming soon, for both Windows and Mac.
