tunze wavebox in action

Heck, 2 years ago an Italian company had women wearing dalmation print bikinis and wrestling with dog toys in there mouths

Um.. is there a video of this somewhere?
:p

Sorry had to say it..

Have you tested this box on a tank with the old style hang-on prefilter/overflows? Did it lose siphon?

matt

The interzoo tank had such a siphon.

I have no video- only fond memories and also the momories of being scolded for being out of my work position too long.

I am still deciding whether it would be too big for my 29-gallon. You said that as long as the aquarium is 30", it will work, but with its height at 11" if I remember correctly, that seems like it would be a bit overwhelming. Im thinking of using my 60-gallon that has been sitting in my room for some time and just setting up a simple aquarium just for it!!! Lol! Maybe an inshore carribean theme would be cool, maybe with some flower anemones, sea mats, some macros, and some damsels or wrasses. I just want a reason to buy one! I don't think that my mom would be very happy though.

I saw it in action in Austin this past weekend. It is awesome!!! The video is very drastic and the waves it created on the 4-foot tank were not ones that would make someone sick. It was very natural looking. Overall it was the best wave creator I have ever seen and I want to add one to my new 215.

Troy, they aren't available yet. Not until September. I have a working prototype I take to trade shows and open house events. AquaTek had a 6th anniversary sale this weekend and I demoed all the new products there.

Roger, when would be a good time for you to come up to do a presentation for DFWMAS? We have meetings every month, and having you do a product demo(s) would be excellent. We are looking for visiting speakers.

I thought that there was too much wave action when I saw the video. When I saw it in person on Saturday I was happy with what I saw. It was a very gentle rocking. No dead spots in the tank at all. The fish didnt look like he was getting beat around. Personally, I would not consider this for anything less than a 120 gallon. It takes up too much space for a lesser tank. My upcoming system will be built around this product. Well done Roger!

The Wavebox was mainly the result of the work of Norbert Tunze and Claude Hug. Thanks but I don't deserve the credit for this one.

The 7095 will be about $200. The wavebox does come with it's own controller but you can integrate it with other Tunze pumps when the controller is coonected to the multicontroller

The wavebox is an adjunct to flow- not a replacement. You would likely have to see it to understand but the rocking motion only lifts detritus- something else has to sweep it away.

Roger. can the wavebox set frequency (full power) be change to a different set frequency (to medium or lowe power) with a controller?

Thanks: Fzech

You do change the frequency but only one frequency will work on a given aquarium. If you don't have it set right, nothing happens. A 6ft+ tank can be set with two frequencies.

Is there a pre ordering form? Or when are you suppliers (what are you suppliers) schedule to release it to BUY!!!!!!!!!

Thanks: Fzech

Preordering is up to the suppliers which would be MD, PA, and Champion. They won't be available until September.
