So I bought my first 6105 two months back for my new 180 gal; then got a small 6025 for some background flow and stage my purchase until the next 6105. I just bought another 6105 a couple weeks back ( all from Marine Depot).
which is good cuz my "older" one, again, only two months old suddenly stopped working today. I tried swithing the two power supplies, they both work so it's really the pump side of things...

Advice? I've seen Tunze is really active on the forum so looking for some guidance on how to move forward.

Fingers crossed, this is the one in a million German Engineering defect.

Since they are new the warranty will not be a problem even if they were second hand and out of warranty you will still receive great CS.

Good news is you are only a few hours from them, Tunze USA is in Austin :), 1 day shipping time. Roger responds early weekday mornings, Craig may jump in over the weekend.

That made my day! Did not even know about that but sounds great!

Thanks

Have you tried opening it and removing the propeller assembly? If it is stuck do not force it, it should pull out easily with only the resistance of the magnet. Some sand, or even calcium build up if there was a precipitation or the calcium is very high could have caused the pump to lock up and we need to get it freed. Please write back if it does not remove easily and I will walk you through the removal, forcing it can destroy the pump.

bingo!
I thought at this price they were auto cleaning :)
Surprised given i used to clean my PH only every six months or so but that is a still new tank so may be more build up.

Thanks anyway,do not know why i did not think about it!

The norm is cleaning every 4-6 months, but if calcium levels are high or some fine silt and sediment is suspended or their is a precipitation in the tank, it can jam them up much faster.

I had one stuck for a while. But just removing the propellor and cleaning it a bit made it start again. After that i cleaned it a few days later.
