Tyree Ultimate blue staghorn!

Here is mine

Mine is painfully slow growing as well. I do have it in pretty subpar lighting and flow conditions so I'm sure it could look a lot better, I just don't have room. Hopefully that will change here real soon!

I got mine from Terry's awesome colony posted above. I can only hope mine willl look the same one day.

Guys, I don´t know if its my imagination but it seems as if it is growing, as if it were a fast grower, I´m sure at least a small branch has doubled in size and I´ve had it for only 2 weeks.

I have it but I don't refer to it as the Tyree Ultimate Blue Stag :). JK. Hit it with lots of flow and lots of light and it should be pretty happy.

I'm taking this advice! I got my piece from somebody who got it from gcarroll.
GCarroll- any pics of how yours is doing yet?

not so good pic of mine. this came from a frag of my original that i lost that came from menard in chicago. never knew it had a name though. I have always loved this thing. as usuaul it looks way way better in person. maybe someday i'll get a decent camera

thanks

it's up high right under 400 watt reeflux 12k's high flow also.
this is really one of my favorite acros. actually grows like a weed after about a year.
my first one and this one sat for almost a year before it grew at all it seemed. then boom. It's worth the wait.

Here's a few year old pic of mine when my dada was growing it out for me. This is under VHO's in the sand of a low flow 29g! No dosing of any kind just weekly water changes with IO...

Since this I have not seen nearly the growth he did, but the brown has turned dark blue and I see green tips.

Here is a picture of mine, I think it has a lot of potential to look like some of the others.

I have had the piece above for about a month now. The picture above is when I first got the piece, I don't have a new picture yet.
I slowly brought it up top over the course of almost 3-weeks. The dark part of the coral is lightening up into a light blue color and the green tips are gone now. Do you think I am blasting it with too much light? It is about 8" below the surface directly under a lumenarc mini which has a 250watt Radium which is about 7"-8" above the surface. Aquariumclown, rtbm, gcarroll and for the others who are able to keep the green tips, what is your placement and lighting?
