i updated my 125g from t5 and mh's to Aquaillumination leds about a month ago. im very happy with the way all the corals responded to the change. i used a apogee par meter to compare from the mh's. the old setup was 2-250w phoenix 14k and 8-39w ati t5's.

here are some pictures.

ty.

i am using all 70 degree optics. ive been slowly ramping up the lights until i find a sweet spot the corals like. im up to 52/47/47 for my midday sun. at 50% par is really close to my 150w phoenix mh.

I don't think I'm too good with the camera. The pictures don't show the colors well. The staghorn does look brownish in the picture, but it really is teal with bright blue tips and the German blue is actually blue with green tips.

What is that green SPS in the fifth picture down? Also, what are those trays that they are sitting in? where did you get those things and what are they called? Like a frag rack or something?

the green coral in that picture is called a ora purple plasma staghorn. the red coral in the backround is an ora redplanet. yes it is called a frag rack. cant remember where i got it. any saltwater store will have them.

how high off the water?

i have 4 of them also i have the 40/70 optics and runn mine at 75% most of the day except i go up to 100% for an hour than back down to 75%

ther growth and color are good on mine

Congrats on the pick up. I've got the new AI SOL blue Nano Touch and it is slick. It's only a few inches off the water at:
