ups delivered my package but...

hoping the fish make it and looks like a case of beer for the neighbour

and a poison dart for the ups man.

Hope they pull through Neeners.

the carpenter's didn't make it. i netted him out, took a pic in case LA needs it. makes me sad because this was totally avoidable!

the mccosker's looks like he might be ok. he is hiding but not breathing heavily and is upright. and he's absolutely stunning!

ugh, sorry for the loss and feel your pain..
don't worry though, la always steps up....
I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin, Chris or others have been following the thread...

i have talked to LA four times today, twice i called them with updates, twice they called me to tell me they were trying to work with ups to find the package. they are THE BEST people to work with and their customer service is 100%! it's the only online vendor i will buy from!

Agree 100%...
They have the best customer service anywhere...the only place I have ever seen come close is LL Bean...

Sorry to hear about the death. Did you get a pic of the other wrasse? You said he's stunning...I wanna see! lol

i don't want to turn the lights on and stress him so i will give you a hint. this is the image from LA and he looks very much like this (top one)...

hopefully, he will be out swimming and i can get pics tomorrow. :)

oh yeah, it's covered completely! neener's not takin' any chances!

he is out and about, swimming and...EATING!!!!!!! obviously, LA has much better photographers and cameras than i do but i'm telling you, he is MAGNIFICENT!!!!

My all time favorite wrasse, good choice :D We have good taste. So sorry to hear about the other, bum deal. UPS has gotten on my nerves lately. Glad to hear LA is working with you.

i'm just sick about the carpenter's not surviving, he was very, very pretty! *sigh*

call UPS and have them ask the driver if he remembers where they dropped it off. I had that happen 1 time and they were great to work with and they found the package.

I had a similar thing happen. UPS will work with you. At least there is a chance.

pssst, steve, i got the package. six hours late. it baked in the sun at a house a few miles down the road. those pics are the mccosker's wrasse in my qt. the carpenter's didn't make it. he was belly up by the time he got to me. :(

I hate that LiveAquaria opted to go with UPS instead of staying with Fed-Ex. They are an absolute nightmare to deal with. I have actually witnessed my delivery guy slamming live deliveries or carrying them on their side when the box clearly states to keep upright. I have had them lose shipments, or have had boxes show up days late from other vendors.

I wonder if LA's livestock reimbursements have increased since making the switch.

same for me, jason. ups has lost numerous packages (although this is the first time for live animals).

i realize it's my choice to live out where the owls party with the coyotes but c'mon, in this day and age of gps, i find no good excuse for this sort of thing happening. the house where the delivery ended up isn't even close to mine! another ironic part of this is that he most likely drove right by the lane that leads to my house to deliver the package to the guy down the road.

anyhoo, first thing i did when i got up this morning was peek in the qt. the wrasse was peeking back at me. :)

Glad the other one made it Nina. Totally inexcusable on the drivers part, what a jerk.

the carpenter's was very small (which i expected) and i wonder if that had anything to do with his inability to fight off the pH swing/ammonia build up. either way, it sickens me to think he had to struggle so much and succumb. i was SO hoping to save him. :(
