Nice colonys guys.
I have a small peice that I practicaly lost but have grown back from a tiny spot. Ive heard most lose the colors on these.I think Gary mentioned a "warmer spectrum" to maintain its color.

this 'fake' red planet you all speak of tends to change extremely with lighting. i have the same coral as you do, and when i got it, it had that classic red/pink as well as green in the center.. looked very much like the first picture. but in my tank under some pretty bright t5 lighting it turned pink/red/kinda brown(to be honest) and when i moved it to less light, the green started coming back out. ive seen it being fully lime green as well. i think with too much light brings the red/brown aspect and a bit less light brings the green into it. at least thats what i've seen. if what im seeing is the real actual frag of an ORA red planet, then it could be different.

my "Fake" red planet moved on.
It grew like crazy and about3 months ago, Poof gone:thumbdown RTN

After I'm done re-arranging my tank, I will be looking for another fake coral.

I several colonies. The largest is a soccer ball sized tabler. I also have several frags. All of these are from an ora frag and a urs frag from Steve Helinski. They are indistinguishable and I've lost track of which is which.. Various lighting makes dramatic shifts in color. High(several inches down near the bulb)equals the brighter red and green. Lower less vibrant ,ime.
