Vacation question

We are planning a trip this summer and I am trying to decide what to do with the tank.
Who do you guys/gals use to manage your tanks while you are gone for extended periods of time?
Before we moved, our neighbor used to watch it for me, he knew enough to keep everything alive. I hate to shell out a couple of hundred bucks for someone to come in and check it but know tha I need to have someone check in on it and feed the fish. We will be gone for 12 days.
Tank is located in Coral Springs.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Vacation question

I pay my LFS to come by daily to feed my fish and keep an eye on things. They charge me a daily fee. I also leave my RO reservoir full and also leave and extra 10 gallons in case it's needed. They're very good about stopping by and I trust them to fix anything that may need fixing while I'm gone.

Our dog sitter takes care of my tank. It's just feeding the fish. Sometimes I have a family member stop by every other or third day to feed fish. I also have a few friends locally (club members) that I can call if I need a lifeline, never had to do that but I've been someone else's lifeline LOL.

I am curious also. We will be going on a 26 day cruise, but will probably be gone for 35 days. We have never both been gone for that long.

I have no idea what people charge, but have a baby coming, need money, and this seems like something that is easy and would be fun to see other tanks. PM me if you guys end up needing someone.

We pay more but I think $15-20/day would be reasonable if its a business. You don't need every day in reality, but once every 2-3 days is nice.

I think we pay like $30-40/day (could be more), not sure because my wife deals with it, but they come twice, walk both our dogs (twice), feed and give medicine to our cat, and feeds the fish. He also doses all my supplements:) He even takes pics and sends us updates and I've walked him through some minor issues in the past (overflowing skimmer, tripped ATO, etc). It would be more expensive for us to board just our dogs. Like this they stay home and all our animals get taken care of.

Not sure if he would just do a fishtank, but I'd be happy to pass along his info but a LFS would probably be a better fit.

Feeding can be done by an auto feeder, every day IMHO is excessive, but it is your tank.
If it runs stable every 3rd day might be the ticket & I would look for either a maintenance company ,or a club member you can trust.

Have any aquarium friends that live close by? Have them stop by maybe once or twice to top things up and check on things.
