Vertex Illumina Light Studio Programming Thread

Ok, just tried with it directly under with same results. Here are screen captures - 1st shows the summary page, 2nd I select the firmware and then it just goes back to the summary page. You'll also see at the bottom(maximized) no lamp indicator...

http://photobucket.com/rxfoote60g - pic of the tank is from a year or so ago.

Same here, no suggestions!
Try emailing Vertex directly, I had a few questions about 8 months or so ago and talked to Nicolas He was very helpful.
I'll PM you his email address.
Cheers,
Dave

Thank to Jamie with Vertex, Riley with Proline and the J&L guys. They were great to help and deal with! Not 100% sure why, but one out of 100 something attempts the firmware upgrade took. Laptop in exact same spot as always on the other attempts and not sure why but it took this time.

I can tell that the Red Module is working as it lights up, but I don't get anything from the UV/Violet Module. Is this programmed seperately in the Desktop Software?

Thanks to everyone!

I was still playing around with the settings and I switched to moon light and now Lunar cycle is gray and I cannot select it?? I have as of 9/15/2012 the days to the next full moon 14. Any reason why I cannot select lunar cycle again??

Thanks! Dave

Figured that out. Had to reclick on expert mod and then go to moon settings. Man I love this but wish is was a bit more guided for the dummies like me. :)

I'm having the exact same problem as Rxfoote. How exactly did you solve this? I unplugged the unit, held the second button from the right and plugged it back in. The blue lights flash indicating it's ready to start the update again, I'm able to connect to it when I click on connect to V-stick, I see Firmware Version 1, I click on Firmware update and nothing happens, my laptop is on the tank, basically under the fixture and nothing happens. Any ideas?

firmware update failure

firmware update failure

So I'm in the process of updating the firmware. I held down the button on the pad next to the auxiliary pad plugged it back in and started the update. Only the first pad updated, it was the only option, and now I'm running the update again on the rest. So why did it fail the first time? It errored out and I clicked update again as per the instructions, but I got a new error and bricked the controller. I was about six inches from the light when updating the firmware. If the signal is so weak whats the point of the v-link, why not run a usb to it.

When you say "reset" is that equal to what the instructions are stating as 3-7-2 or is it depressing a button on the led pads? If the later, where is the button? I just bought the SR260 (2 of them).

Thx.

I would be interested in seeing how some of you have your Vertex setup. Times, percentage, etc. Thanks!

Here is my setting:

No but I wish to. Unfortuantely their Illumilux line doesn't have 5 or 6 feet. I am thinking other brand. But most likely I will add 4 blue aux pads first.
