well I have it hooked up and its pulling 24 watts, same power factor and 18 to 20 scfh. So it runs well but not worth it for you all to really do all that work. I appears to be pulling more water but I dont have a way to test that.

I joined the club tonight. I got an IN-180 for my 90g tank. Right now it's in a 30g breaking in on some water I just pulled out of my display for a water change. Here it is after running for about 10 minutes. I was really surprised at how quiet it is.

Now that I've made the purchase, I'm wondering if I should have checked out the IN-280 a little more. Any chance that monster would fit in a 30g (36"x12"x16") tank? I wanted to overskim. Would the 280 be too much?

I ordered a 180 and have the same size sump as you do. How long is the skimmer? I see it will fit in the 12" width of the tank but how long do I need to make the skimmer section?
