How can anyone complain about that! I've been getting that and more every couple of days since i started running Eco-Bak. I have to clean the cup evry third day or it just gets to thick on the neck, It's like Axel grease:smokin:
Glad yours is Rockin too Ward:beer:

Man, that looks pretty damn good. The question now is, would my skimmer do the same in a couple of weeks I sure hope so. And I won't be complaining if I get the same result as that.

Thanks guys. I am super pleased. I think it's been a month but the patiance paid off.

Bill, I have been reading about that product since you mentioned it. I have a nice BRS reactor and when they have that same one in stock again I'm going to order it and give it a try. Thanks again for help with the pump.

I 've been using Eco-Bak for around 6 weeks now with pretty good results, Only issue I had was some brown Diatoms pop up on my sandbed but a little Phosguard seems to have cleared that up pretty much in 2 day's.
I highly reccomend you give it a try as It seems to have my tank doing great.
Bill:thumbsup:

I looked on Warner Marine's web site but didn't see it listed?

Ward,
What is the water level in the sump section where your skimmer is at. I am just wondering if 9" is too deep, that's where mine is.

The surface the pump sits on is just about 6" below the water surface.

I had my stock pump running at this level and it ran better than the 10" level for a little while anyway. Sounds like you are on to something..let us know

That may be your problem, I had mine that deep at first and had to raise it up to the 6" level to get it to work better also. It had big bubbles that would not form a head in the deeper water. Once i raised it that made a big difference in bubble production. As Ward said you may have found your issue!

has anyone got the generation 3 model insump skimmer yet thinking of replacing my vertex insump 180 Gen I with the newer model premium aquatics carries.

Just a quick update. My BB3000 gave in, must have had a bad pump, abnormal wear on the impeller and the needlewheel separated. It had been noisier than expected since the day I got it but it was so much better than the stock pump I didn't care. I contacted Coralvue and they sent out replacement very promptly. Just got back from vacation so I need to set up the new one and break er in

Any idea what caused it to do this? Sorry to hear this. How long has it been running?

That's where that 3 year warranty will come in real handy, Glad i bought mine cause if it blows they send you a new one. Great CS that can't be beat.

Do you have skimmate pictures of before and after installing the BB pump?

If you look back through the thread there are lots of pictures of skimate shots already posted, FYI
Bottom line this BB improves over the stock pump greatly...

Vertex IN-180 users- which Bubble Blaster pump are you using on your skimmer? The 3000, or 2000? Going to do the upgrade, but want to make sure I use the right one. TIA

The IN 100 i got for my 40 gal works great! are there any mods that make it better though (i have seen some for the other models but not for the 100)

I use a 3000 on my Gen IN180, works great, dont see any reason to go with a different pump.
