VorTECH pumps?

So, I'm researching (still) for my initial marine setup. Saw these vortech propeller pumps which mount THROUGH glass wall of aquarium. They can move a lot of water. my concerns are: potential of water leaks, how do you replace if it "dies" do you have to lower your tank water, etc? background: planning a 170 gal -- 48 by 24 by 31. Would appreciate any and all input regarding these or other applicable pumps (koriala?, etc)

no leakes the wet side. goes in your tank and drive unitgoes outside the tank. THe magnet runs the pumps through the glass. same principal as the magnet algae cleaners. Move them where ever you want. Very nice pumps.

Ahhh... that makes a ton more sense than thinking it actually required a drilled hole.. Thx for the info.
