wanted: Best lighting for my 12g aquapod

When I researched for my 15 gallon a couple years ago, I got enough bad reviews about the Viper and nothing but good about the Sunpod. I ended up with a 150w sunpod as they didn't make the 70 anymore. I was very happy with it. Especially after changing to the Phoenix 14K bulb. As a matter of fact, I sold the tank and the light over a year ago and recently bought back the Sunpod from the buyer.

BTW, there is a lot more choices in 150w bulbs than 70w.

would 150w be to much for the 12g aquapod? Would it "burn" my coral?

I have zoas, gsp, torch, frog spawn, hammer, rics, acans.

They should be fine mid to lower in the tank. I had some high that did fine as well. I'll look for some pics from my old setup.

150watt pendant. Go with something you can hang so you can adjust it for your corals accustomed to lower light. Also when you upgrade a 150 will work well over a bigger tank, 70 watts are really only good for a nano.

I ran a viper 150 on my 12 aquapod and I loved it. Swapped the bulb for a phoenix 14k and that was about it, but when I tried using it on my solana it sucked. I think the reflectors on them are only good for the smaller tanks...
