Watch out for DA's customer service

When I had a float switch part break they just sent me the whole thing again. Not to say they shouldn't help but I think the issue on their side is more that you cut the parts off intentionally rather then them breaking. If it was a warranty issue I'm sure they would just send you the whole moonlight again.

Is it possible for you to just splice the wires together and use some black heat shrink to seal them?

I could do that, didn't think about it... stupid of me. But one of the connectors I sort of destroyed pulling it apart finding the what replacement parts i needed. haha being a former electrician I tend to think of how to do it correctly/cleaning first...

Do you still have the actual physical plastic part? You can get new pins for the inside from Microcenter.

i have have the plastic part... I didn't know the pins where at micro center! That's all I really need, I can reuse the plastic harnesses if need be.

You can also find them online at various automotive electronic shops too. A lot of people make their own harnesses.

Tiger Direct? I'm sure the repair part of tiger direct has some. Maybe they will be nice and give you a couple.

Thanks, I found them and the pastic harnesses online too last night, but hoping to find them locally. I hit up radio shack when I get off the train.

Well I was able to jimmy rig the harnesses back on with some electrical tape. Heres hoping it works once its plugged in. That's still no excuse on DA complete lack of customer service. Heck, the parts are so small they could have pit them in an envelope and put a first class stamp on it. If this were ecotech they would have bent over backwards to help me.

I'm still shocked at the we don't Cater part- Thats a huge no-no in Customer Service especially for custy that are committed to them or have no clue how things are suppose to be set up. :thumbdown

I completely agree. Their excuse was they dot make them in house and therefore don't have parts. First, they do make them in-house. They are US made with US electrical componets. Second, if they aren't truly made were the "office" is you're telling me there is no way they could call down the street and say hey mail some if xyz out to this customer. I've always heard their customer service was horrible... Now I've encountered it myself.
