I have a green carpet anenome (Haddoni?) about 14" across. It was doing awesome - right in the middle of the tank under a 400w MH until I added two Koralia 4's. I have a 220g tank with a double overflow in the center. I placed the Koralias on either side of the overflow facing the front.
I did notice that there was additional water flow around the anenome, but I didn't think it was anything drastic - it was only indirect flow. However, he has been on the move ever since - he appears to be trying to avoid the water flow. Yesterday, he squeezed his way behind the rock structure that would block the flow.
Now he's not getting nearly as much light as he would have and it's very difficult to see him.
I thought they liked moderate, indirect flow? Why would it be moving to a spot with less light? Should I point the powerheads more into the corner of the tank to reduce flow in the center?
Thanks!
