water storage

Check Trade Fair Hardware on Sunrise in Copaigue. They typically have lots of various plastic containers and drums.

ok so i just got back from trade fair you guys were right he had exactly wghat i needed. However the containers i bought were used. They don't sell new one's. So my question is how do i clean them? Do i just rinse with fresh water or is there some type of solution i can mix up? just want to make sure i don't kill my fish with contaminated water.

picked up 3 for $60 pretty good shape no leaks. I looked on line new they are $60 each plus shipping this guy is local so i think i got a good deal. If not let me know so i don't give him anymore business.

you can use bleach, make sure you rinse very well, or vinegar, make sure it stays in there long & circulate/aerate the water

$20/each sounds like a good deal

I, and a lot of people I've spoken with, use rubbermaid brutes for water storage but they are more expensive than the cans coffey got.

Trade Fair gets those bins/tubs new, as seconds (manufacturing defects, etc.). They are made by a company named Chemtainer in Bohemia and West Babylon (?). Chemtainer will sell to you, but they don't keep "seconds" on hand, they ship those off to Trade Fair. If your timing is right, and they have the size you need on hand, with some imperfection, you will do much better than Trade Fair's price. Chemtainer's price for new, "perfect" pieces will make your head spin.
