Wazzel's mostly SPS 120

My GARF bonsai was showing signs of lightening so I ended the acclimation. It was almost through anyway, since it was scheduled to end 1-Oct. I adjusted all the non-white channels down to 80% from 85%, but left the white at 40%. I found my tank to be a bit to blue for my liking. This give me as estimated fixture power usage of 59%, down from 66%.

My shelf is mounted, transformers and controllers in place and tank ledge is clean. I had to get behind the tank to install the shelf.

Nice Mark,
LOL, you look less than thrilled to be behind the tank in the last pic :) Oh man though, you have done a marvelous job with the setup, and all the corals look amazing. Great job, going to be a fun ride following your tank man :)

If was making faces at my daughter. It was not to bad. Getting back there was easy. Getting out was a bit tougher since I had to step over the shelf.

My lid should be in soon. I spoke with artistic acrylic last week and I am on the schedule for late this week, today is Wednesday so any day it should ship.

Watching it grow and adding fish will be nice, but the build is my favorite part.

My lid and new fish. I got it with the locking feeder door, but not real happy with the locking mechanism. I actually removed it.

What is your acclimation procedure. You really seem to have it nailed down and am trying to model running my led like you.

Looks great Wazzel! Glad everything is coming around and settled in. Can't wait to see your par numbers when your done playing with the lights.

A six month snapshot. Tank is doing mostly well. Some pieces taking longer to recover than I had hoped. Adding a third and larger gyre. I think the tanks needs more flow. Just for it today. An overall positive 6 months.

A scrap of PC rainbow that got left on the rock during the break down. Tiring into something nice. The main colony still not recovered as well as I would like.

Looks great.. Any fighting between your 2 Yellow Tangs? Did you add them together and how big were they?

Thanks

Thanks. Not really much fighting. The smaller one was in my frag tank when the old system was running. They got put together in the holding tank during the transfer process. I actually was going to sell the smaller one, but got wrapped up in the move and put both of them in the tank. There was a significant size difference at the time so things got sorted out quickly.

Got some new critters yesterday. Added an algae blend, 2 acans, 7 zoanthids and a TCK Pikachu. I really did not need or have room for any corals, but two people wanted to trade for some pieces I was selling and the Pikachu is part of a grow out challenge our local reef club is having. I picked it up for a reasonable price and the prize is another high end acro. I still have plans to set up a frag system so I can sell stuff for pocket money, so adding diversity to my collection is a good thing.
