Wazzel's mostly SPS 60 Cube

Looking at the calculator you use 12 dkh / 95 ppm Calcium a week + Kalk
I use about 50 ppm Calcium + kalk with about 14 mini colonie, 45G net volume.

Guess I should be okay with growth

Amazing job mark, those progression shots speak for themseves:beer:
You have some awesome colors in your corals too!

You still running the radion or did you swap? If so, how is your lighting schedule now?

I run 2 AI hydra52's. Started with one.

Here is my current schedule.

Hmmm... Been having issues with my gen3 rw30 radion. I'm at 50% 12k for like 10 hours and it seems like I'm no getting growth due to too much light. Just shortened and backed down light. Also a 60 cube.

Mark,
Man your tank is looking gorgeous, the colors are mind boggling!!! I also love your attention to detail, the setup is very clean, and organized, well done sir! :)

Thanks Perry. Kind of find that funny since I keep my system intentionally simple. Not hard to stay organized when you do not have a lot of kit.

It may or may not be light related.

Thanks. I can not wait for my upgrade. I got some nice things stashed in my frag tank that I can not fit in the cube.

Beautiful tank!!!

I have been looking for an SPS tank with both impressive growth and color to model my lights after and your certainly fits the bill.

I have a vertex Illumina with the multicolor module but I'm not too happy with growth & color, and am almost positive its light related. So...I'm trying to transpose your settings to the vertex software.

Would you mind listing your current light settings? I can't get much info from the screenshot of your schedule.

Sure not a problem, lets see if I can explain it so you can understand.

DB is my moon light. It runs 2% from 9pm to 8am

For normal day time operations the lights start ramping up at 8 am starting with DB and adding a color every 5 minutes in the following order DB, RB, V, UV, G, R, W. The ramp off starts to end at 9pm with W going off first and the rest following every 5 minutes in the following order W, R, G, UV, V, RB, DB.

At 10AM and 8pm the channels have the following settings
DB - 80
RB - 75
V - 70
UV - 65
G - 60
R - 55
W - 35

From 1pm to 5pm all channels at 100 except white which is at 70.

That should cover the inflection points. I ramp between them.

I've been watching your tank for a while Wazzel and your tank turned out great! Can't wait to see your larger tank get up and running and more 52s over it and see how much your lighting % changes if any and watch that tank grow out. Great grow

Many thanks. That is exactly the info I was looking for.

Mark, I don't recall, when did you add the second hydra and how do you think the tank/corals reacted?
Did you have to reduce power or anything at first?
Tank is looking really nice and balanced.

I think it was in June of this year. The corals that were not shaded did not change, the ones that were shaded colored back up. The only negative I can think of is the tort on the very top of my reef is a little washed out. I did a 50% reduction and a multi month acclimation.

Thanks for sharing your setting Wazzel. They look very nice. Wondering if they would boost my growthand keep some of my color. Just scared of them since uv is super high. I run mine currently at 20, and whites peak at 35. Blues at 65. What percentage would you recommend acclimation?. Also did your tort get its color back??. I moved mine to thd top and washed it..
