Wazzel's mostly SPS 60 Cube

Can you outline what you feed, how often and what you dose, if anything, besides Kalk in your topoff water? Also, what kind of salt do you use? Reason I ask is because I have the same lights as you, but I don't get anywhere near the growth you are getting. Granted, my tank is a 150 tall, and I have 2 52's over them, been thinking of adding more lights, but adding more Hydra's would be next to impossible as I can't access the back of my tank to mount the rails and the wife won't let me hang wires from the ceiling. I'm thinking adding 2 Kessil A360's with goosenecks just to cram more light in my tank. I run ULNS system and have just begun to dip my toe in Zeovit additives, so I'm hoping exploding growth is in my future. I have a feeling your SPS's are doing so well because of all the white light they're getting. I have mine turned down to about 35 so I'm going to bump up my channels and then use acclimation to slowly bring everything up.

Great looking tank btw.

That tank looks great !!! NICE PICTURES !!! and is good to see the evolution of the tanks in that way.

Sure no problem

I feed LRF Herbivore mix or Mysis once a day. For dosing I use seachem reef builder and reef advantage calcium via a vertex libra doser and Mrs. wages pickling lime in my top off. Just switched to a kalk stirrer this week. For my dosing I pump 5 liters a week for both Ca and ALK with adjusted concentrations based on my weekly testing. I also do a 10 gallon water change each week. I use reef crystals.

If you want to add more get the rack kit. When I went from 1 to 2 lights I switched.

I think giving them lots of light helps, but I only run full power for 4 hours. White is now at 70%.

Personally I think stability is more important that light. I am a really routine based person so taking care of my tank in the same way and the same time ever week comes naturally. I also have a hands off low tech approach. I use minimal equipment, test for just Alk and Ca and only intervene if absolutely necessary.

I agree, stability is the most important thing, and I've been very stable with my params ever since I got a dosing pump. I don't ever dose calcium and it stays upwards of 480-500 which I don't understand, verified by Hanna Checker and Salifert kits. My alk I shoot for 8 or below since I run ULNS and it stays just a hair over 8 with me dosing about 2 ml's per day of Seachem Reef Advantage Alk. I just use IO or Reef Crystals salt, but my Nitrates and Phosphates have been low for quite some time. I only feed Rods food 3 times a day (stupid anthias and their demanding feeding requirements!) and don't feed corals directly.

I'll look into the rack system and I'm going to tweak my light settings tonight, I love the blue look but I think SPS corals would do better with higher overall light levels, bumped up slowly of course.

If I was not in process of upgrading I would add more. Now that things have grown in they are areas that are no getting the flow I would like them to. It was fine until a few months ago.

have you thought of a single gyre pump mounting vertically in the corner? I have 2 of them horizontally mounted that push a ton of water. Love them, but Vortex pumps are really awesome too.

For the upgrade I am thinking two of each size. The two smaller on the back wall and the larger on the sides.

Very nice Mark,..I am hoping the light mount I purchased from you brings me some of your luck growing sps!

What are you taking pictures with, your pictures really capture the colors well.

Just an iPhone 6+. No processing either.

How much dkh/ppm you dose a day?
I use kalk + 30ml 2 part and my growth is nowhere near yours :)

I changed my hydras setting to all 100% exept white at 35% for 9:30

Um, I do not know the concentration. With my 2 part I started at the recommended dose for my tank size on the label and have been adjusting based on the test results. I never worried to do the calculations to figure it out. I burn through a lot of 2 part.

Mark,
Man your tank is looking gorgeous, the colors are mind boggling!!! I also love your attention to detail, the setup is very clean, and organized, well done sir! :)
