Weather 17th, 18th, and 19th

Just forewarning everyone that we may see some icy conditions before and maybe on the day of the swap. All weather reports I've seen are calling for possible snow Thursday and Friday. Being Middle TN, one can never tell exactly whats going to happen with the weather. It may be nothing, but then it might drop a few degrees and cause problems.

Everyone be careful and don't let the potential for bad weather keep you home! I'll be there rain, shine, sleet, snow, or whatever! :)

-Ryan :)

I can't tell you how much I'd hate that!!! I've got too many awesome polyps coming my way. :sad2:

Considering where we are, it'll probably be sunny with highs in the 50's.

Yea... you never can tell here. I actually kind of hope it snows. :) My daughter has been begging for snow. If we don't get any, I suppose we'll be taking a trip to Ober in a couple of weeks just so she can see something that resembles snow.

From what I've seen it looks like it will all be cleared up by the day of the swap. I wouldn't worry, the road very rarely get too bad to drive on here in Nashville.

i agree I got way to much nice stuff coming my way also it should be fine when is the weatherman right around here anyways.

One of the News 2 weather guys is a Penn Stater and although I wouldn't quite call him a friend, I have talked with him during a football game over a couple of beers. He said he hates working in Nashville because they have to predict snow if there's any chance that we could get it because people will freak out at them if we get even a half of an inch of unpredicted snow. He also said that 90% of the time the temperature ticks up a degree or two and it ends up as rain... in which case their prediction is wrong and people get mad and kids have their dreams of a snow day shattered. The conversation kind of reminded me of the movie "The Weather Man" where Nicholas Cage is always getting stuff thrown at him and it also made me care even less about these types of weather predictions.

I'm not saying it won't happen, and I'm not a weather man, but I'll put it at a 10% chance it will :-)

...and I'll skip my trip to the store for the milk and bread.

Cancel school, close stores early, get out and make sure you are stocked up on bread and milk, panic panic panic!!!

I have to say it cracks me up when they call for snow around here...I guess being from Pennsylvania my expectations are a little higher when they call for snow... :)

i have friends that move here from up north.....and they always laugh when schools let out when there's white fuzz on the grass......and by noon the fuzz(cant really call it snow) is gone....gotta love TN!!!!

You know Purity and Turner must have some stock in these news stations.

My wife laughed her head off a couple of years ago (shes from PA as well) when the news was interviewing a family about the huge snow we had. They were standing in the front yard, and grass was sticking out through the snow, as well as patches of the yard.

Heck, Im from here and I got a laugh out of it.

WHERES MY MILK!!

Ya I laughed at that storm when I drove in the far left lane of I 24 that was un plowed doing 60 while watching people stuck in the other lanes. I am from south Dakotas and that was a flurry for us.

ok if it gets cold, icy, snowy.... everybody stay home but the ones selling frags.. then i'll have bigger choice. hehe.. sounds good to me. sweet!

Good grief...I'm not staying home EVER here based on a report of snow.

It's not gonna snow!

I hope so! :) So... you're gonna be there?!!?!

I still think we need to get a tank going for you. :) Hmm... maybe I'll start a thread about that. I'd bet we all have something laying around to donate that could build you a decent tank. heh.

Ladies and gentlemen:

I'm from snow country. A little "possibility" of a "dusting" isn't enough to make me stay home. See ya there! Oh, and Mel, you're always welcome to anything if you ever get that tank going.

Dave
