On the caps becareful about getting the glue on the tissue, it may burn. I found out on my other SPS which I will picture in the next picture.
It had a little tissue recession, but nothing to worry about. Its coming along nicely. Notice where I circled, thats where I added more glue to place it on the rock itself... this was only after I had acclimated it to the lights.
What is the name of this coral. I got a frag from ReefLife a few weeks ago and there is some tissue recession as well. However, the frag seems to be growing. thx
It looks either like Hydnophora Pilosa or Psammacora.

Hydno is commonly referred to as Cactus Coral. Psammacora is referred to as "Cat's Paw" coral or a variant on the Cat theme. I've got frags of both that I got from Pat about 3 weeks ago. The Hydno is growing enough that I'm worried about him taking over other colonies in a year or so, and the Psammacora is growing as well, and turning into this beautiful neon green velvety coral. They're both doing great and are looking beautiful. I'm so thankful to Pat for his generosity with Fragstravaganza and the FMAS 10% discount!

question, what are the lights and flow requirements of this species?
right now I have it in a high flow (half a feet away from the Koralia 4, medium-strong light location)

RW, how long did it took for that frag to grow? the growth looks very nice
Most of that is actually the frag that I got from Pat, but it's noticeably growing now, and it's really nice. Slow growth compared to... The Horn coral, but it does grow. Maybe at the same rate as my monti Digis.
As far as light and flow, it looks like it's doing fine being 12" from the surface of my water, under 250w 14k hamiltons. I would imagine that with your T5s, you could do up to 18" from the lights comfortably and still get growth. Mine is getting side flow from my Seio 1100, but I would imagine medium to strong flow, as long as it's indirect can be fine.

I complety agree. This fish store is by far my favorite. I always go there for my frags, and for my SW for water changed as well, he has great water =). Its to bad i hear that it might have to close down soon =(. we need to save Reef Live!!! lets help spread the word!

I hope ReefLife doesn't close down! I finally found a favorite LFS and I go WAAAAY out of my way to go there because they've got great prices and great stock. If I had money, I would totally go spend it there to save ReefLife....

I hear alot working at a LFS and the "word on the street" is that Pat is closing/selling/moving his store by the end of June. Now I am not 100% sure but that seems to be what everyone is saying.

This whole BS about one LFS talking bad about another sould not Fly!
This is a bunch of BS-U guys should take info from the man himself before spreading LFS rumors .
I tell u what we all spend our mula where ever we want and however we want but the whole BS war should not be in this forums.
Here's my two cents every time I've dealt with Pat he's been nothing but nice and accomodating to me and my friends, just like many others in the bis. I find it repulsive that some of you guys post here right after getting frags from Pat and then post BS about his shop!
Where ever he sets shop there in griffin or anywhere else I will visit and buy livestock from him and any other good LFS, but people involved in the badmouthing and so forth are not getting a penny of mine and if i can help it I will deter my friends from visiting their shops!
BTW i have no $ interest in Pat's place-Jeff's- Larry or any of the reputable stores!
