controllers

controllers

Roger, could you tell me why it may be worth the wait on the 7095 controller? I was planning on two Streams for a 210 reef and wondered why I should not buy two seperate smaller dedicated controllers, one for each. My thinking is that that controller stream combination is less expensive and in the case of a breakdown only one would be out of service. Also can you suggest who has the previously mentioned Osmolator water top off equipment for sale? Thank you, Gerard

T 5's

T 5's

Roger, I would also like your opinion on using T5's to supplement my 250 DE halides instead of VHO's. I have not purchased any lighting yet. Thanks again, Gerard

The two smaller controllers is only a good deal if you can live without the other programs and understand that adding the photocells makes the price closer to the cost of the multi which includes the photocells. The Streams work without the controller so the redundancy is unnessecary.

Osmolators have been in short supply this year and no one will have them- likely anywhere in the world.

Lighting is largely a matter of personal preference and the 250's will give you what the corals need. Likely you can buy a Kelvin bulb that suits you without any supplements so you might consider that first. T5 is superior to VHO in my opinion.

Roger,
You were right about not going to the higher voltage xformer for my 6000. Now that it's setup and working I'm able to get plenty of wave action in my 100 gl, patters in the sand look just like the shallows at the beach. Excellent product!
Thanks,
Sam

Would you recommend the same setup as the one above for a 135 gallon 72"x18"x25"? I will be keeping mainly SPS and clams. The TS24 would probably be overkill in this tank wouldnt it? Thanks.

Lots of options will work but the recommendation from the most experienced person, our French rep, Claude Hug, is to place them in the back corner aimed 1/3rd of the way in to the front pane. BTW, his tank is the inside cover of Moder Coral Reef Volume 4. He does a ton of installs in France so he has a lot of first hand experience, he is also largely the inventor of the wavebox.

which tunze to use

which tunze to use

Hi Roger
Im in the process of setting up a new reef tank ,dimensions are 112"L x 36"W x 30"H starphire glass it will be a full reef with 8500L returning from the sump and another 8500L pump used as a closed loop pump circulating water behind the rockwork so i was planning to use the tunze stream pumps for in tank circulation ,the tank will contain a mixture if sorals but mainly SPS.
I dont know enough about difference in models to know what would best suit my application im going to go with the 7095 controller when its avaliable in Australia soon ,would two of the new 6200 be best for my application placed at either end of the tank. Also the ceramic covers for the pumps do they fit the 6200 or only up to the 6100

Thankyou for your time
Graeme

The 6200's would be the best choice. The Stream rock will not work with them but likely a bigger model will be made in the future. The 7095 should be available in late Sept or October.
