alright i tried before and im still lookin for someone relatively close i live in simi valley which is close to the san fernando valley.... if anyone is within a 30 minute drive that might have some sps frags available please let me know

lookin for some easier low maintenance ones like stags, maybe a green slimer, birdsnest, any other interesting nice lookin pieces....

please let me know if u have anything available

thats a bit of a drive sam and im worried that having the frags there all day and then the drive home they might be too stressed and not make it....

im still considering it though...

here is what I did the last time I went to a frag swap. I took a small portable cooler and put and Icepack inthere. They stayed inthere for almost 20hr and made it fine.

thanks for the suggestion.... i just dont think im guna be able to make it that weekend i have prior engadgements

Justin I was sweating the same situation. But I was told by some people deep in the game a fish/coral can last hours in a bag.

I was suprised...So now Im there!

2 years ago at reef-a-palooza I had a couple of women by frags from me and they got them home w/ no problem. I cut the frags and placed them in styrafoam containers at about 9:00 am, the event started at 11 am, they left at 3 pm, and I'm not sure what time they got back to Phoenix but I imagine you could probably ride a bike back to simi valley in about the same time. They said that the cups only lost one degree temp wise and all the corals looked great and were thriving soon after being placed in the water.

R-A-P will be a great chance to get some nice sps, lps, & softie frags, but hey, there is always next year!

thanks gcarrol....

let me take a look and see if i can make it i have plans in the evening but i dont know if id make it back in time....

so it sounds like the frags are pretty hardy and can survive from what im hearing
