I have been subscribed to your thread for a while now and love your tank....I was wondering how the mangoves are doing and how it works with the tank...I assume all is well.....I might do the same with a 180 build I am planning if yours works out.

Hello Western Reefer, First i want to say this is a beautiful tank and it is great to see a young teen like myself to get into the hobby so early inlife and hopefully stay in the hobby for a lot of years. This is a beautiful tank. I have a 90g and i started when i was around 13 and know i am 16. This is the best hobby i could get myself into. Absouletly love it. One question for you. Where do you find the money to pay for this hobby as a young kid? I know i have trouble finding money for it. If you dont mind me asking. Once again great reef. Tagging along

Thanks! :D Glad to see another teen in the reef hobby. :) Well, I sell coral frags, save money on birthdays and Christmas, don't have any fancy equipment at all, got just about everything USED for very cheap and not brand new, getting used saves TONS TONS of money. I hardly got anything from the LFS that's in the tank, most of it is from locals and other reefers and such. I really didn't spend no where near as much as all of you think I did. lol

Haha yea i understang where your coming from. I bought all of my stuff from my LFS and nothing is used, its all brand new. But man you have a great tank. Where are you located i might be looking to get some frags for my tank but i am not to fancy with the reef stuff. Never really got into it. I have the lighting but never got into it. Would like to because it would make my tank a lot nicer looking then it is know. You can check my tank out in the reef discussion forum its called 90g Almost 2 years old. But beautiful tank and i will be tagging along with your thread.

Yeah, brand new equipment is VERY expensive. Thanks! :D I'm in the Sacramento area, California. I'll go check out your diary in a bit. :) :D
 
hey i just read the entire thread and its quite amazing. i am 13 with a 75g FOWLR. id like to expand in the next year or so so maybe i can create something like your amazing tank. do you have any updates on the birds nest forest?
