I lived right down the road from them, and used to stop in quite a bit... you see the corals slowly decline in health day after day, because they just do not have the setup to properly care for them.

Hmmmm, sounds just like a store on the east side. Roger Mary Sam.

Since John has sold wet pets it has in mop gone down hill fast. I will not buy anything salt related from them now, Sad. The last time I was in the sea cave I asked him about two anthias That he had floating, The dude went ape on me and told me that I ask tomany questiuns and to get out! so I did and have never gone back, Don't reccmend either store. A.T or saltty Thats where I go most

I was told that they got new owers and a new wholesaler!
I was also told it was turning out to be not that bad of a place?

Jeff

this place is junk. Never never never waste your time going to wets plus. I refuse to buy anything there. on an average you may find 3-6 horrible looking salt water fishes and if any half dead corals!!!

Thanks I wasnt planing on going there someone was telling me there was a new store?(atleast owners and stuff)
I was told this one was not to bad?I dont know if its the same one

Pet Junction on Fishcreek Rd in Stow seems like a clean well maintained store, but it was mostly freshwater last time I was there. They did have plans to expand the marine section, but I have not been back yet to see. Not that I won't, just the weather is bad lately and there are lots of hills between me and there.

Ok the deal with sea cave.... I have talked to Steve the reason that he moved his store is because akron u bought out the building that Joes Sunbar was in and Steves store was in that building, I used to work at Dinos tattoos that was right in the same building so I know him well.... long story short Steve lost his @ss in the whole deal he got none of the buy out cash and had to move everything and lost alot, so he is trying to stay afloat... he is a nice guy once you get to know him and his prices arent all that bad once you stop in a few times... no way am I defending him but his store could be alot more if he had more people in there....

Im pretty sure that it is Pet Junction that I heard about because I was told that they just added to it?And have been getting alot of stuff."Old owners of petland."

I was at pet junction yesterday and they had some alright stuff, but still in the begining stages of being a good store. There is one guy there that knows what he is doing and when he is not there you can tell. Hit or miss with that place, but I did walk out of there with a nice zoa frag. Pink with green mouth, wanted $3.50 a polyp but ended up giving 7 polyps for $11. Not bad. They will take stuff on trade also, pretty much anything.

As much as the one guy turned me off the first time I met him, I've been back and it looks like they are slowly building thier tanks and livestock inventory. Most things looked OK and most of the prices were in line. A few pieces were over priced, but you have to expect that from time to time. Hopefully they will make a go of it.

I just bought some rock at sea cave and guy seemed very helpful this time. Prices on fish do seem alittle high. When I first started into salt water guy was a dick to me.

I went to Pet Junction at lunch.I was actually fairly impressed. It needs some work but the selection and prices were fairly good. They had a bunch of nice looking Anthias for $11.98 which is a steal if you ask me!

Not to worry, Went to a club meeting (fw). Talking to some members of the old staff, there will be an old staff member that is going back.(not for the owner, for the fish) to try to get the place back on track. It is going to be a challange I wish them the best of luck. The place used to be a top rate sw fish store. Hopefully it will one day be that way again.
