What Color is Your Carpet? {pics please}

I got this big guy from Blitzburggirl a few months back. He's doing great but taking up way too much space in my 93 cube.

I normally don't quote pics like this, but that's an OUTSTANDING tank. :thumbsup: What lighting are you going with?

Unique Colouration for a Red Carpet; I think. Very sticky, nice tight oral disc. Pictures taken with a camera phone. I will endeavour to post with an actual camera. Cheers.

Yeah. We are very fortunate in the Toronto area. We have some great LFS that bend over backwards for hobbyists. I think also; you'll find that availability at times comes in "waves/cycles" - pun intended. Perhaps similar geography of suppliers or even the same suppliers. I've noticed that the past couple of months there have been a few more Blue, Purple, Neon Green, Yellow, and Red Carpets as of late. Pricing however is all over the map.

The pics enclosed were taken this morning under different lighting conditions to feebly attempt to capture its true colours. Unfortunately I can't seem to capture the orange hues near the oral disc......

P.S. - This was brought up in another discussion I had regarding carpet anemones. Regarding your comment of eating your fish. Murphy's Law dictates that it will eventually eat your most expensive or your most prized fish. Or even worse....the fish your girlfriend's/wife's favourite fish. ;) There will always be an inherent risk. I've lost a Blue Tang years ago; and most recently a Blue Throat Trigger. Seriously. That's why I'm trying with this particular one in my refugium for now. lol For what it's worth - I find that most fish naturally sense to avoid anemones. That being said; it's usually a chase or feeding frenzy where a fish and tentacles will cross paths. Or...in the case of a carpet - sometimes it just gets too big.
