What fish would you add?

If I was to get a pair of hawkfish, would I need to add them to the system at the same time, or could I get one and add another later?

Try and get them already as a pair otherwise definitely same time. I see some from time to time on divers den.

Consider a pair of Yasha or Randal shrimp Gobies with their Pistol shrimp.

A pair of Yellow head Jaw fish.

2 more Royal Gramma (add some really small ones and you will be fine with the existing male RG)
A pair of Orchid Dottyback
Two or three Flasher wrasses of different species.
One or two smaller Fairy wrasse

Any two of the suggestions about would be great for your tank.

Right now I am leaning toward the hawkfish, or a couple of flasher wrasse. I already tried an Orchid Dottyback and that did NOT go well. He and the Royal Gramma, were constantly fightng, so I removed the dottyback. He is actually in the fuge until I can trade him in.

It happens, but 99% of the time the fish was on its way out. If the fish is weak or sick this is the main reason that happens. Sorry for your loss

Yes. Sometimes they're just stupid though. I have pulled a yellow tang off of my mp40 about 3 times over a 6 month period. Mouth first and tail pulled around like it is curled up. Every time I just pulled it off and it swam away, never any lasting damage. I think it was sticking its mouth in to pick at something and the pump kicked in higher on reef flo mode. I put the sponge sleeves over them for a wandering anemone and haven't had the issue since.
