What have you done with your tank lately?

I just bought 3 BRS dosing pumps and a Reef Angel to control them. I have installed the dosing pumps under my stand and I am just waiting for the Reef Angel to arrive. I am also planning on adding a controllable Tunze powerhead soon. I just can't decide if I want a 6095 or 6105. I have a 120 gal (48x24x24) mixed reef with softies, LPS and some SPS. I would like to find a LFS that has the Tunze PHs running so I can see/feel the flow firsthand.

I'm going to play with mine for another 4 months are so before I threw in the towel.So far I'm not overly impressed.

You throwing the towel in on the BRS dosing pumps, the Reef Angel, the controllable Tunze powerhead, or your tank? :hammer: Sorry, with an opening like that I couldn't help myself. :jester:

I re arranged the tank and made the rockwork a little taller and added more flow. I also made some room for more corals :bounce2:

I hope to atleast get some cash / gift cards to get my sump and skimmer.

Another SMACK talker :fun2::bounce3:
Someone had to pick up the slack of slash smack talking in here, it was getting too quite. :hammer: (How's that for quick response time)

Did a 50 gallon water change and added two pieces of spongode. Took a couple leathers out of the DT.

We broke alexs 40 down and moved everything to the 125. I brought his old 40 over to my place to move everything from my tank into while I upgrade. His new tank seems to be really happy and the corals look better than ever in there.

When i got the 40 to my place I drilled the sump for my external pump and replumbed. After hearing (or not hearing in this case) his new tank I figured I would try something new on this one. So after talking to smoothdog and seeing his build I decided to go with the herbie method and it is awesome

the only thing I can hear on the tank is the noisy pump.

I also mixed up some salt water just in case and hope to get things switched over in the next couple days. Wish me luck

Nice work. Interesting that you fed your siphon into a tee with an open vent, I would have expected that to make a little noise. How does it do with bubbles?

All I was worried about was noise. As far as bubbles that is a reverse durso designed to cut down on bubbles and noise but I havent had it filled with salt water yet so we will see how it goes. I figured I would try new things on this temp tank.

Most of the tank is quiet except for this crappy American motor iwaki. It's louder than my bigger pump. :(
